A natural crystal bead bracelet is a living energetic tool — and caring for it correctly ensures that both its physical beauty and its healing energy remain at their fullest and most effective over time.

The care of a crystal bracelet involves two dimensions: physical care of the beads and thread, and energetic care through periodic cleansing and re-energisation.

Physical Care — The Bracelet and Thread

• Handle gently and avoid pulling or stretching the bracelet unnecessarily — the elastic thread, while durable, can lose its elasticity over time if subjected to excessive stretching or sharp pulls
• Remove before bathing, swimming, washing hands, and all water-related activities — prolonged water exposure weakens the elastic thread and, for certain crystals such as Pyrite, Selenite, and Malachite, can permanently damage the stone itself
• Remove before exercising, heavy physical work, or any activity involving significant wrist impact — this protects both the thread and the beads from unnecessary physical stress
• Avoid contact with perfumes, hairsprays, cosmetics, soaps, and chemical cleaning products — these can dull the natural lustre of crystal beads and degrade the elastic thread over time
• Store flat in a soft pouch or jewellery box — never hang a stretchable crystal bracelet, as hanging places continuous stress on the thread and causes it to stretch and weaken over time

Cleaning Your Crystal Bracelet

• Clean gently with a very soft, slightly damp cloth — wipe each bead individually to remove accumulated skin oils and perspiration; this simple regular care significantly maintains the bracelet's natural lustre and beauty
• Never immerse in water or use chemical cleaners, ultrasonic cleaners, or steam cleaners on crystal bead bracelets
• For crystals safe with water — a brief, gentle rinse under clean running water is acceptable; always dry immediately and thoroughly
• For water-sensitive crystals — Pyrite, Selenite, Malachite, Lapis Lazuli — never use water; clean only with a dry soft cloth

Energetic Care — Cleansing and Re-energising

• Full Moon moonlight — place your bracelet on a windowsill overnight during the full moon for the most effective and most complete energetic cleansing and recharging
• Smudging — pass your bracelet through sage or palo santo smoke for immediate energetic clearing between uses
• Selenite plate — place your bracelet on a Selenite charging plate overnight for gentle, continuous energetic cleansing and recharging
• Intention reset — hold your bracelet in cupped palms, close your eyes, and consciously reset your healing intention; this reconnects the crystal's energy with your current purpose and keeps it aligned with your evolving needs
