Actually, American Diamond is not from America rather it was first made in Russia. American Diamond is the cubic crystalline form of zirconium dioxide (ZrO2). So, the technically correct name for American Diamond is Cubic Zirconia (CZ). It should not be confused with zircon, which is a zirconium silicate (ZrSiO4).
